If this is not done your parameters may be lost and it might be necessary to reset factory default settings. 1. Connect ET08 to the main power supply.
2. Using the provided cable connect RS232 of the system ET08 with the computer COM port.
3. Start the program ET08 Configuration Tool.
4. Press the button CONNECT.
5. The main window of the program should display system version number (next to Status and Version marks, as illustrated in the provided example). If version number does not appear check port settings, correct cable connection and system power supply connection. The program does not detect the connected device if the user of the account that is trying to connect does not have administrator rights. After this problem is solved press CONNECT again.

It is necessary to enter only telephone number of the first user (User1), i. e. it is not necessarily to enter all 5 numbers (User1…User5) at once. User must type mobile number in the international format (it consist of only those digits that overseas callers must type: [country code][area code][local number]) without symbol '+'.
E.g. the mobile number of user in United Kingdom is +44 (0) 113 xxx xxxx, so the incorrectly and correctly entered numbers are:

Output control by SMS command is disabled in this mode. |

SMS Password – 4 digit password which is used for input/output configurations and control via SMS messages. By default, password is 0000, which is NECESSARY to change. |

Input ON message – text alert sent by SMS in case of input trigger event. Input OFF message – text alert sent by SMS in case of input restore event. Output Name – output name indicated in SMS reports. Backup Line Text – text alert sent by SMS in case of telephone line failure. Tel. Line Restore – text alert sent by SMS in case of telephone line restore. Telephone Line Delay – delay period of time in seconds between telephone line failure and restore events. If telephone line failure and restore events occur before the set delay period of time is over, the system will not send the SMS report. Value range - [1-250] seconds. |
