5. Output signal control

The system ESIM252 has 2 controllers – a relay outputs C1 and C2. It can be used for controlling various electric devices, e. g., a pump, heating, lighting etc. When the controller is enabled, RELAY contacts are connected.
The system ESIM252 allows enabling / disabling controllers C1 and C2 by sending the command by SMS message or simply by calling to specify when and / or for how long relay contacts are connected. All these settings can be easily configured using Configuration Tool, going to the section Control.

Output Name – code name of the specified relay contacts.

ON / OFF – status of relay contacts. ON – when the user calls, output status is normal, relay contacts are turned on, OFF – output status is normal, relay contacts are turned off. By default normal status of relay contacts is off.

NOTE: before starting the configuration of the device you must press the button CONNECT or READ SETTINGS. If these actions are not completed your parameters can be lost and you might need to restore factory default settings.
NOTE: to enable the changes in the device you must press the button WRITE SETTINGS.
NOTE: before starting configuration it is necessary to change the primary manufacturer password („0000“). Otherwise the device will ignore he commands sent from the computer.

5.1. Relay control via call

The first way is enabling/disabling controller – the call from the telephone registered in the system. In this case it is necessary to use different settings specifying how long relay contacts are connected etc. It can be configured in Output control Via Call section.

User1 – user name. You must mark (select a check mark) next to the users after whose call the system enables / disables relay contacts for the preset period. If the user is not marked (check mark is not selected) the system does not react to his calls.

ON / OFF / TOGGLE – status of relay contacts. ON – when the user calls relay contacts are turned on, OFF – relay contacts are turned off, TOGGLE – switches from the previous status to the next status.

Duration – specifies the period for which relay contacts are turned on / off, i. e., after this period is over it returns to the previous status. Time format is the following: hours (Hour) : minutes (min) : seconds (S). When you specify all values none, relay contacts switch from the previous status to the next status until the system receives new commands. The timer is not used when TOGGLE mode is selected.

Confirm by SMS – setting confirmation SMS sending. In this device the system will specify when and for how long relay contacts are turned on / off.

Confirm by Call – confirmation call settings. The system informs the user via short calls about turned on / off relay contacts. Duration – confirmation call parameters. For ON – when relay contacts are turned on the system calls for the specified period (measured in seconds). By default the system calls for 2 seconds. For OFF – when relay contacts are turned off the system calls for the specified period (measured in seconds). By default the system calls for 8 seconds.

5.2. Relay control via SMS messages

The second way for enabling / disabling controller – SMS message from the telephone registered in the system. In this case SMS message states the period for which relay contacts are turned on / off. It can be configured in Output Control via SMS section.

Confirm by SMS – setting confirmation SMS sending. In this device the system will specify when and for how long relay contacts are tuned on / off.

Confirm by Call – confirmation call setting. The system informs the user via short calls about turned on / off relay contacts. Duration – confirmation call parameters. For ON – when relay contacts are turned on the system calls for the specified period (measured in seconds). By default the system calls for 2 seconds. For OFF – when relay contacts are turned off the system calls for the specified period (measured in seconds). By default the system calls for 8 seconds.

5.3. Settings of automatic relay operation

The third way of setting relay operation is automatic control. In this case all commands are pre-recorded in the memory of the device and the relay automatically turns on or off at the preset time. By default the system can inform about this via SMS message and/or call.

To set automatic relay operation mode in Configuration Tool environment choose the section Output Control using Scheduler. There you can enter start and end time as well as information parameters.

To specify automatic operation start you have to fill in the section Start Time. You can specify start time in minutes: next to Hour specify the desired hour and next to Min – minutes. Device operation is automatically repeated every day until it is disabled. By default automatic relay control is disabled (zeros are put in fields Hour and Min).

The section State is used for specifying to what status relay contacts should switch to on the preset time. ON – normal output status, contacts will be turned on, OFF – normal output status, contacts are turned off.

The section Duration is used for specifying the period for which output (relay) status is changed. If the period is set to 00:00, output status will not be changed. After the preset period is over output status is changed to the previous one.

NOTE: if you want the system to work correctly it is necessary to set the integrated clock of the device properly (every time power supply is disconnected you must set the time anew).

If you want the device to inform the preset user that by the schedule output (relay) status changed, choose the desired information status in the section Start Event. Settings group End Event is used for choosing the desired information status then output (relay) status return to previous one.

Confirm by SMS – the system informs via SMS message;

Confirm by Call – the system informs via call.

In section Call Duration field For ON specify the parameters of this call, i. e., duration of the call. By default the system calls for 2 seconds. For OFF – when relay contacts are tuned off, the system calls for the specified period (measured in seconds). By default the system calls for 8 seconds.
Settings group Inform User is used for specifying the user whom the system informs about output (relay) status change by schedule (operation start and end).
